ERP Technical Services
The DII Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Technical Services team is responsible for the design, management, development and maintenance of the State's Enterprise Financial and Human Capital Management systems. Based in the Montpelier/Barre data centers, the FINANCIAL/HCM systems handle the State's Finance and Human Resource needs including billing, asset management, payroll, workforce administration, classification and compensation, recruitment and benefits. The ERP Technical Services team comprises several core groups responsible for the management of the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) and Oracle databases, PeopleSoft Application development and numerous other technical aspects of the ERP system.
Financials
The ERP Financials system is an Oracle/PeopleSoft enterprise financial management system utilizing the following modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Asset Management, Inventory, and Sub-recipient Grant Tracking.
HCM
The ERP HCM system is an Oracle/PeopleSoft enterprise Human Capital Management system utilizing the following modules: HRMS, Payroll, Base Benefits, e-Recruit, Self Service, Workforce Development and others.
Technical management of an ERP system offer unique challenges for both business users as well as technical staff. With complex Business and Information Systems projects on the horizon like Time and Labor, Expenses and Budget modules slated for the PeopleSoft ERP system, we will all have to work in unison with respect to Project Management, Customer Service, Functional Testing and Software Development process to conquer these challenges.
