Sharepoint Services
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) is an integrated suite of server applications that improve organizational effectiveness by providing content management, search, shared business/work flow processes and facilitates agency/ department collaboration as well as information-sharing to vendor and quasi-state organizations. MOSS can support intranet, extranet, and Web applications across the state within one integrated platform, instead of relying on separate fragmented systems. Additionally, this collaboration and content management server provides state developers and vendors with the platform and tools they need for server administration, application extensibility, and interoperability.
DII will be offering 4 levels of service for enterprise MOSS. The four service levels are outlined below:
Service Level Type A
This service level includes a dedicated site in the SOV SharePoint System environment for the business. The sites for the Type A engagements will be created under a common site collection which is shared across all other Type A engagements. Sub sites can be created under the engagement site using the MOSS SharePoint “out of the box” functionality. This includes the base offering specified in the design document.
Service Level Type B
This service level provides the type A base offering in a separate site collection in the SOV SharePoint System environment for the engagement. Sub sites can be created under the engagement site using the MOSS SharePoint “out of the box” functionality. This includes the base offering specified in the design document.

Service Level Type C
This service level provides the base offering in a separate web application in the SOV SharePoint System environment for the business. Site collection and sub sites can be created under the engagement web application using the MOSS SharePoint “out of the box” functionality. This includes the base offering specified in the design document.

Service Level Type P
This service level provides for a custom solution which will need to be negotiated through the Governance Board for approval. It involves a fully customized solution for the business, and SLA’s that will need to be determined based upon the request.
