Enterprise Email Services
The Enterprise Exchange Email system allows departments and agencies to communicate and share information. Over the last year we have completed the migration to Exchange 2007. Exchange 2007 provides access via Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Web Access through a standard Web Browser, and Mobile Devices and includes Microsoft Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes features. Departments on the enterprise Exchange system have access to a centralized Global Address List using a standardized Email naming convention. Mailboxes are protected from Email based computer spam and viruses using Symantec Endpoint Protection, Symantec Brightmail Gateway and Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange.
We currently have over 4500 Mailboxes that are utilized by Vermont State Employees. In addition, we are in the process of planning to migrate the few remaining departments that are not currently using the system as well as the Agency of Human Services and Department of Public Safety, which both currently run their own Exchange system. We provide email services to the following agencies:
