ERP Technical Services

Description

The ERP Technical Services team provides technical support, system administration and maintenance of the State of Vermont’s ERP platforms:  VTHR (PeopleSoft HCM), VISION (PeopleSoft Financials) and Advantage (CGI Budget).   

The ERP Technical Services team provides the following services.

  • Technical support for major upgrades and implementation of new PeopleSoft application modules, with an emphasis on making best use of the vendor-supplied product and minimizing customizations
  • Routine technical maintenance including technical testing and implementation of vendor-supplied enhancements and upgrades
  • Creation and maintenance of interfaces to and from PeopleSoft for external contacts, such as Benefit Providers, Financial Institutions and various entities within State Government
  • ERP Technical Change Requests
    • Development and maintenance of State of Vermont customizations
    • Development and maintenance of functional enhancements
  • Trouble shooting production and operational problems
  • Management of ERP platform vendors
  • Maintenance of multiple ERP environments including Production, Development, Test, User Acceptance (UAT), and Disaster Recovery with the support of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team including, but not limited to:
    • Operating System patching and maintenance
    • Security patching
    • VMWare Tools and Hardware patching and maintenance
    • Firewall, Load Balancer, FTP, and Middleware patching and maintenance
  • Oracle Database Management and Maintenance including, but not limited to, the following:
    • Database replication
    • Database maintenance
    • Database patching
    • Database backup and recovery
    • Database SQL tuning
    • Database troubleshooting

  • VTHR - PeopleSoft HCM is available 24 X 7 (Expanded to support Employee self-service)
  • VISION - PeopleSoft Financials is available 6 am to 7 pm daily
  • Advantage - Budget is available 24 x 7
