When:  Saturday, 07/29/17 to Sunday, 7/30/17 5 am. Saturday – 12 pm, Sunday

What:  National Life is performing maintenance on its power system.

National Life is performing maintenance on the Normal (Street) power feed to the data center. As a result, the Normal (Street) power feed will not be available during the maintenance period. 

All server racks are powered by dual power feeds, UPS power and Normal power, for redundancy.  All devices will be powered by UPS power feed.

Davis Building Power Interruption July 8th and 9th

Normal Power

Normal power to Davis Building will be shut off on Saturday, July 8th so a new feeder can be installed from S-2.  Work will begin at 05:00 AM on Saturday and finish around noon on Sunday.  Lights and normal office power in Davis Building will be shut off on Saturday and Sunday.

UPS Power

Critical power will be transferred to generators closed transition (make before break)  so there should not be a power interruption to data center, print room, state server rooms, communication closets in Davis and Main, sorter/inserter room, all orange receptacles in Davis, and any UPS circuits in Main Building.  All CRAC units will remain operational.

Normal power centers 6, 8, 11, will be transferred to generators closed transition.

Main Building will be transferred to generators closed transition.

Dewey Building will be transferred to generator closed transition.

Parking Garage will not have power while this work is being performed.

Impact:

  1. Devices with dual power sources that are getting power from both UPS power and Normal Power PDUs would require NO action.
  2. Devices with single power source that are getting power from Normal power PDU must move the power plug to the UPS PDU.
  3. Devices that are being monitored may report power supply error.  Please inform your vendor’s technical support to avoid false alarm.
