DII Email Services

The Communications and Information Technology Networking group administers Microsoft Exchange servers providing a robust email system/group scheduling environment for over 4500 Vermont State Employees. Outlook Web Access (OWA) enhances our MS Exchange deployment by giving users the ability to access Email, Contact, and Calendar information via the internet using a web browser.

Mailboxes on the Exchange servers are protected from Email based computer viruses using Sybari Antigen which enables us to scan email and attachments using multiple virus definitions to greatly reduce the risk of a virus going undetected.

We also create distribution lists for the convenience of our email account customers. This saves them time when sending mass mailings to frequently-accessed groups such as entire departments.
